Wembley Stadium and the 23rd April 1995 was an eventful day to say the least for Birmingham City's Paul Tait.

Just about making the squad, after recovering from a recent bout of sickness, Tait replaced Peter Shearer on the 63rd minute by maverick manager Barry Fry to bring some life into what was frankly a pretty drab Cup Final.

Tait seized his opportunity in the 13th minute of extra time, and the 103rd minute of the game.  Tricky winger Ricky Otto jinked his way down the wing and whipped in a great cross, Tait, unmarked in the box seized on his chance, glancing the ball with his head and into the back of the Carlisle United net, and thus became the first ever Golden Goal Goalscorer at Wembley.  Carlisle were on there knees and 'Taity' was off to celebrate.

"As soon as I headed it, I knew it was in".

Pandemonium followed in the Blues end of Wembley Stadium, but Tait wasn't done yet, and we all know what came after!  But that story is for another day!

This pictures have recently been signed by Paul for CSM, and come with full COA and free UK Postage.  For the first time we are including a hall marked photo of Paul signing as we get a few requests for these - there is no extra charge for this!

The frames are excellent quality and measure approximately 55 x 55 cms.

We would like to thank Paul for his time, a proper Bluenose and a legend of the Tilton Road.
